キミ子方式で描く「あいちの伝統野菜」第二弾です。作家の佐藤昌宏（さとうまさひろ）氏と作品を撮影された亀谷泰朋（かめがいやすとも）氏のご厚意により、作品の写真データを使用しております。全７回にわけて水彩画で描いた「あいちの伝統野菜」35品目すべてを５品目ずつ掲載していきます。(Web掲載により実物より大きさや透明度などが異なる点をご了承ください）
金俵まくわうり
果型が俵型。果皮は黄色く果肉は白い。尾張地方では、「キナウリ」として夏の果物と親しまれた。
Kinpyo-Makuwauri
The shape of this Oriental melon is the barrel type. The peel is yellow and pulp is white.
“Kinpyou” means the meaning of gold bale. In Owari district it was called “Kinauri”, and it was familiar as summer fruit.
青大きゅうり
長さは一般的なきゅうりと代わらないが、かなり太く緻密でシャキシャキと歯ごたえがある。
Aodai-kyuri
“Aodai” means the blue and big,”kyuri” is cucumber. The length of this cucumber is generally, but thick. The flesh is dense and crisp.
天狗なす
天狗のような鼻ができるのは初期の果実で100個に１つほど。トロトロの焼きナスがおすすめ。
Tengu-Nasu
“Tengu”is an imaginary creature of Japanese private faith, whose nose is considered to be very long. This eggplant is called “Tengu-Nasu” because there is a protrusion like a Tengu’s nose. It can only be made of one out of 100 pieces. It’s best if you baked it cook on the grill.
方領大根
甚目寺方領原産。練馬大根の元となったとされ「ふろふき」が絶品。水牛のような形が良品。
Houryo-daikon
“Houryo”is a place name. A place of origin of this Japanese radish is Horyo,Jimokuji-cho, Ama-city. It is said to be the ancestor of Nerima radish. It is a good product that this radish is bent like a horn of water buffalo.
It’s best if you cook it “Frofuki daikon”. “Furofuki daikon” is simmered Japanese radish, which is often served with Miso sauce.
大高菜
緑区大高地区の特産。特有の香りとほろ苦い風味が特徴。浅漬け最高。おひたし、雑煮にも。
Odaka-na
“Odaka”is a place name. A place of origin of this Japanese radish is Odaka, Midori-ku, Nagoya -city. It is characterized by scent and bitterness, delicious if it is pickled in shallow form. Also it is suitable for a side dish of boiled seasoned with soy sauce,also use it for soup ”Ozoni”. “Ozoni” is a bowl of soup made with vegetables and sticky rice cake.
